Is CERA certification required in Cyprus?
Yes. All electrical installations must be certified by a CERA-licensed electrician before EAC will reconnect power. We provide full certification documentation at handover.
How much does a full apartment rewire cost?
A typical 80m² apartment rewire (new consumer unit, all circuits, sockets and switches) costs €3,500–€5,500 including labour and materials. We include the CERA test certificate and EAC reconnection paperwork in this price.
Can you add smart home wiring during a standard electrical installation?
Yes — and this is the right time to do it. Running additional conduit and data cables costs very little during a full rewire but is expensive to add later. We pre-wire for KNX, smart lighting or audio systems even if you install the smart devices later.
How long will I be without electricity during the works?
For a full apartment rewire the property needs to be de-energised for 2–3 working days while circuits are installed. We schedule this carefully and give you advance notice. EAC reconnection typically takes 3–5 business days after certification is submitted.
